Open House/First Day of School

Here are my kiddo's..... Going off to school. Its so sad to say that Josh is now a Senior. Where has the time gone.

Lauren was so excited to meet her teacher for the first time, and was ready for the first day. I am not to sure about Josh. At least he smiled for the camera.

Charleston, SC

The resort we stayed at was beautiful. Here we are sitting in front of our Hotel. The picture of the pier was taken from our room.

If anyone is looking for a great place to go on vacation. I highly recommend Charleston. There is alot of things to do, no matter what the age. We took a carriage ride through town and saw all the historical sites. Wow, how amazing.

August 9th storm

This is the storm front that we were able to miss. We left our house and minutes later, the sirens were going off. We were heading to South Carolina.

Mia

Welcome to the family, Mia!!!

Here she is.................. We brought our newest member of our family home, yesterday.
Lauren picked out her name. Anyone want to guess where she got the name from?
Princess Diaries, her favorite movie. Of course, Mia has a pink glittery collar, but she has to grow a little more. Lauren picked that out too!

She has been a joy to watch. Mia is very outgoing as well. She nuzzled up to Sparky right away. And follows us every where. If we leave the room, she cries for us. What a little sweety! Zoe is very curious about this little girl. I think they will soon be playing together. As far as Buddy goes, he is a 87 pound knuckle head. We will have to watch him very carefully so he doesn't crush her. EEK!

She found one of my baskets and loves to sleep in it. Hopefully she will opt for her kitty condo soon.

Great Wolf Lodge

We were able to all have time away for a little fun. We loaded up the truck and went up to the Lake. We spent 3 days at the Great Wolf Lodge. I think George and I had as much fun as the kids. I have to admit.... Getting up and going into the water at 9:00 in the morning was a bit much for me, but Lauren was not going to miss out on any fun. Josh was the only smart one, he slept in. :o)

Spring Gymnastics Show

Beginning of this month, Lauren was in a Spring Show for gymnastics. All of Heather's Studio performed. All the girls did a wonderful job!

Last Day of School

Yesterday was the last day of school. YIPEE!!!!!!
Josh and Lauren could not wait. Staying up late and sleeping in, is what they have in mind. But to mom, it means getting organized and cleaning up this house. But most importantly being with my two kiddos. I LOVE spending time with them.

What A Great Guy!

On Tuesday, instead of Josh picking Lauren up at school in the car, Josh and Buddy walked there to get Lauren. Lauren has been asking Josh since the beginning of school if they could walk sometime. She never complained the whole way and had a big smile when she came home. Lauren just loves Josh so much! I think Josh feels the same too........ though he might not want to admit it all the time.
I know I have said it quite a few times, but, George and I are truly blessed with our two wonderful kids!

Memorial Day

Yesterday we spent the day with family. Grandpa decided it was time for Lauren to try a hand at fishing. Though, she didn't catch a fish, she did a great job at casting. Lauren is standing next to me as I type, and she says the worms were "YUCKY". She said it was fun!

Lauren wants to thank Grandpa for taking her fishing and can't wait till the next time.
Also, thanks Lisa for picking such a wonderful spot for the picnic!

Lauren's Pet Day

For Lauren's Pet Day, she decided she wanted her dad to bring Buddy. George and Lauren said that Buddy was nervous at first, but once all the kids started petting him, he was okay. When I picked Lauren up from school, she told me that she was so excited to see Dad that when he left with Buddy, she started to get tears in her eyes.....
I think she is like her Mommy in so many ways, I wear my heart on my sleeve and I definitely love her Dad too!
The kids are counting down to the last day of school. Five days counting today.
YIPEE!

Citizen of the Year

May 15th, The Rotary Club surprised my dad with "Citizen of the Year". We all took the day off to attended the lunch. George said a few words and Lauren wrote her own speach. When it came time to say it, she said "NO WAY"! So George said it for her. Josh took wonderful pictures of the event. We are all so pround of Dad! We love him sooooooo much!

Deck Time

George built this deck last spring and was able to stain it recently. We love to sit out there and watch the kids and the dogs. On the weekends if its nice, you can find us out there with a fire in the pit and playing cards. As you can tell, the little puppies love it too!

I can't whistle anymore!

Lauren finally did it! She pulled out her teeth. This big space will not allow her to whistle. :o( But she was really excited to see what the tooth fairy left. We were discussing what we thought the tooth fairy looked like and how she gets to all the homes that need to be visited. I really don't think she cared, as long as she visited our house.

Bounce-Bounce-Bounce

We spent a big portion of the day on Sunday outside. It was a beautiful day! Josh and Natalie hung out and watched a horror movie and played video games. George and Lauren washed the truck and then decided to go jump. BOUNCE~BOUNCE~BOUNCE~

Relaxing morning, Oh Yeah!

I believe there is someone else in this house that loves Sparky as much as me. Sparky knows it too. Lauren decided while I was doing some laundry to cuddle up on the couch with Sparky and watch some music videos. Sparky told me later on, that he was hoping that she would have changed the channel to Animal Planet to catch a glimps of some CHICKS! (hehehe)

Lauren and I were over to visit Grandma and Grandpa yesterday, and found out the Blondie and Coco are sick. As of last night Coco seemed to be doing better, but Blondie was still sick. Dog-gone-it! We are all hoping that the puppy sisters, or grandpuppies or ???? are doing better today. (sorry, I am in rare form today!)

Its also Earth Day today, so go out and do some earthy things. Lauren and I are going to Orr Park today with my Mother Study Club to clean up trash. It is going to be a beautiful day today. SO ENJOY YOUR DAY!

April 21, 2007

Today, I decided to make pancakes for everyone, and Lauren just had to get her baking set out. Of course, in this house, you just can't be normal, we have to be CRAZY! But we like it that way. If you don't know us by now, we are all about having fun.

Sorry for the lack of posts. Don't think that I don't like to take photo's, because I think my two are photogenic. But, on the other hand, they are not little ones anymore. :o( I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. We were able to go hear my dad preach on Easter Sunday and enjoy family. It really doesn't get any better than that!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter everyone! Hope everyone had a visit from the Easter Bunny. We managed to drag our sick bodies to church yesterday. We had our Easter dinner at moms, if it wasn't for that, we probably would have eaten peanut butter sandwiches. THANK GOODNESS FOR MOMS!
Lauren and Josh go back to school tomorrow. Spring break went tooooo fast. I really enjoy the time with them. I will be sad to see them off tomorrow. But, luckily, I have three great kiddo's I watch while my two are off learning.
Thanks again to my dear friend Rach, who hooked the Easter Bunny up with a great basket filler. They were a hit! Thats the first thing Lauren went to. And really the only thing she talked about all day.
Have a great day today.... I hope to get to blog more often.

Celebrating School

Every year the girls try to go to Miss Molly's in Medina to celebrate the new year of school. I just happened to run across this picture today. My sister, Lisa, was able to make it to lunch. My mom is on the right, and of course Lauren is in the middle. This was from August 2006. But with the wonderful spring weather we have had, I thought it was just the perfect picture.

Celebrate

Lauren is enjoying her drink in a fancy tea cup. If you haven't been to Miss Molly's in Medina, it is a must! They do have nice lunches. For a special day out with your girls or moms, it is worth the trip.

Lauren

Happy almost Friday! Yes, I lied. I am sooooo sorry. I said that I would post last weekend but didn't. I am a baaaaaaaadddddd blogger. :o)

Well, Lauren had a blast at her friends slumber party last Friday/Saturday. Chloe's mom had 10 or 11 girls spend the night. Crazy, don't you think? But let me tell you, she also has 6 month old twin girls and her hubby was working on Friday until 11:00. So, in my eyes, she is SUPER WOMAN! There is some pictures of the slumber party on her blog, and it is "the Hunt girls", you can click on it down on the left on my blog. Go check it out.......

After getting Lauren home from the slumber party, she decided to puncture herself 3/4 of an inch with a pencil into her upper leg. OUCH!!!!!!!! Mom, (me) wanted to rush her hysterical little girl to the hospital, but dad (George) being the calm, lets look at the situation kind of person, said call the doctor. So, we did just that..... I called the doctor.. WHEW, that was toooo easy. We followed the doctors suggestions, and to make a long story short, she is doing great. I had taken pictures, I know, sounds odd, but I am not posting them because they are gross! YUCK!

Its Friday!

S0rry no picture for today....

But it is Friday and I am ready for the weekend, aren't you? Lauren is so excited, today is one of her friends birthday sleepover parties. This will be the first, so Rach, good luck! hehehe (just kidding)
Not much is going on right now. Just kinda bummed because the sun isn't out, and it is 30 something degrees right now. And to think, it was almost 70's on Tuesday. :o( I am ready for spring!!!!!!
I will try to get some more pictures on this weekend. I hope everyone has a wonderful Friday and a great weekend!

What a smile!

Oh yeah! I actually was able to get a picture of Josh today. But he didn't do it for me, he had to have it for a school project. But who's complaining, I actually got a real smile out of him. I wonder where he got the dimples from?

Mom is so forgetful

Hi, this is me Lauren, I just had to tell you and everyone else in my class today, that my mom was not " with it " this morning. Mom woke up and had me ready and my hair curled for school pictures today. Then one of the moms that my mom babysits for, told her it wasn't until tomorrow. Geesh Mom, get with it! Anyhow, I thought I looked pretty cute for the day. So did mom, so she had to take another picture.

Look what I did today!

For all of you who know that I am into the card making and scrapbooking, this is my first paint can. It is for one of Lauren's friends birthday party. (SHHHHH don't tell!) It was pretty easy and fun to make. So, look out, one may be headed your way......... :o)

The Calm before the storm

I was going back through some of my pictures, and for some reason I kept coming back to this.... This was a picture of the sky right before a storm. It looks so peaceful to me.

It represents life. (The calm before the storm) Also, that even in the middle of a terrible storm, there is beauty.

THE STORM

Need a laugh?

You might think I am crazy for posting this, but I just had to. For me, this picture represents a wonderful dad and husband. This was the day George came back from California, and Lauren had missed him so much. She planned this welcome home party for him, and of course made this wonderful crown. George, of course, did not have any problem with putting it on and having his picture taken. He always is there for me and the kids when we need a laugh. What a wonderful man! Love ya Georgie!

Isn't she so adorable........ (Shhhh, don't tell Sparky!)

COCO

From the pictures dad sent me, it looks like Coco had a bad day, and had to have a drink. She must have missed me.......

YIPPEE!!!! GEORGE TO THE RESCUE!

Finally, here are pictures of Lauren's birthday party we had on Monday. Lauren decided to have a spa sleep-over party, but then came down with Bronchitis the day before, and had to cancel. So, we decided to do a day spa instead, so she didn't have to wait so long. But unfortunatly, one of her friends, Kailey ended up sick Monday, we missed her not being a part of the celebration. All of the girls seemed to have fun getting their nails done as well as a facial. Then topped it off with dressing up in fancy dresses. I had as much fun as they did, and was sad to see it end. Lauren has a great group of friends. And I just love that the girls' moms are great friends too. BIG HUGS!!!

Remembering back 3 1/2 years ago

I know this is an old picture, but I am still dealing with a computer that won't cooperate with me. The main computer holds all the recent photos, so until I can talk my husband into looking into it, I will post some older pictures. since the kids are a year older now, I am now looking into the next year when Josh is a Senior. So I am thinking (yes thinking) of doing some serious scrapbooking for him, so I can get caught up. I have only been into scrapbooking for a year or so, and Josh is 17 now, I have alot to do. I posted this picture because this is how I see my kids together. With Josh and Lauren being 10 years apart, We do not have the fighting. Josh is like a 3rd parent. If George and I ease up a little on something, it is not unusual for Josh to step in. I am not sure if this will be a good thing for Lauren when she gets into High School though. I know Josh will be watching every move. We are so truly blessed to have two wonderful kids. We love them sooooo much!

My DUDE!

This is a shot I happened to get lucky at. Josh and his famous "Slide Tackle". I would say this is one of my favorite shots of Josh playing soccer. Soccer is Josh's love. But I have to brag a little bit, Josh's is the BEST BIG BROTHER, EVER! I went to a meeting last night, and he watched Lauren. Not only feeding her dinner and making sure she showered, but he even took her to get an ice cream cone, and he didn't get one himself. Is that awesome or what!

These are photos of Lauren I took in the back, just in fun. This was about a year ago, and as you can tell, Lauren loves to pose. Sorry for several posts in a day, but as the saying goes "Keeping up with the Jones's" well, I don't have the Jones, but do have the Hunt's. Mrs. Rachel is hounding me to get busy, so I am doing just that!
